It's been a long time coming, but the Senate has finally advanced transformative climate legislation. Thank you to Senators Schumer and Manchin and to every Senator who fought to ensure that climate action was a priority in this bill. Now to the House and to the President's desk!

As Spanish PM has said, "climate change kills." How many more records will be broken and communities engulfed in flames before we take the action needed to avert the worst impacts of the climate crisis?

The assassination of Shinzo Abe is a horrific tragedy. I will always be impressed by his steadfast commitment to the people of Japan and his dedicated advocacy on their behalf. It was a privilege to know and work with him and I join the global community in mourning his loss.

Today’s decision is a disappointment, but it's not a surprise. It's the result of coordination by the fossil fuel lobby to dismantle progress toward climate solutions. This ruling does not mean we are out of options! We must call on Congress to pass climate legislation. 1/2

I was inspired by Leaders Shawn Harpen, Li-Ya Mar, Lily Morse, & Malika Yates, who shared specific pieces of advice on how to drive action. Among them: dive right in and be sure to listen to and understand the perspectives of your audiences. 2/6

It’s time for those who have obstructed the common-sense measures that will keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of mass-murders to put the lives of their fellow Americans over their quest for campaign contributions. It is long past time to pass common-sense gun legislation.

How many children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and loved ones will be stolen from us before we take action? From Columbine to Uvalde, we have failed to keep our children safe because of the stranglehold the gun lobby has on our democracy.

Taking photos every ~15 minutes on 3/21, the DSCOVR satellite gave us this beautiful view of 24hrs on Earth. Yet each day, we pump another 162M tons of GHG pollution into our atmosphere. While that is sadly still true on this #EarthDay, we must commit to building a better future.
