So where do we find the new bylaws ? The article states there are new guidelines but no links to them. A search turns up only the original article.

Hi Steve, thanks for contacting us. The link to the new bylaws can be found here- https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/plans-projects-policies-reports-bylaws/bylaws/Pages/dog-management-bylaw.aspx …. Thanks.^Lakshmi

Auckland will never be considered pet friendly. You restrict more access to parks & beaches. And the more restricted, the less well behaved they & the public are when they come into contact with each other. Also menacing & dangerous dogs should always be classed by deed not breed

I’ve never seen current dog rules enforced in parks. Will that change? Dogs off-leash near/IN kids’ playgrounds is not rare - it is an everyday occurrence, and I guarantee that every person working for Auckland Council has witnessed this many times.

They’d rather make a cutesy propaganda puff piece telling you they’re “pet friendly” when evidently they’re anything but.
