明度に対するR成分の割合が周囲と比べ相対的に高いために赤に見えるという事なんでしょうか。全体に一様なフィルタがかかっているという前提が脳内に必要そうですが、画像全体が特定の色に偏っている場合には何らかの補正が必要なはずだと自動で認識するようになっているのでしょうか。
色の恒常性の研究では乗算的色変換(上図)が普通なのですが、錯視屋の私は加算的色変換(下図)について錯視扱いでアピールしていたところ、この2、3年でやっと注目されるようになりました。論文もアクセプト寸前です。アルゴリズムは完成していますが、人間の視覚系はそこまでの性能はない模様です。pic.twitter.com/5lGOjc6pg3
