I have just learned a word 'wiggle'. Thank you. Motion blur, e.g. wiggling your cell phone, may also be easy to reduce the extinction illusion and see my face.pic.twitter.com/a4GdGSIJuY
Squeezed it (zoomed out) and got this clearer image.. so the effect works more on large pictures and not thumbnails.pic.twitter.com/CrltXwFUgo
Btw how to create this kind of image? Any online tools available?
Not sure if it counts as https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moir%C3%A9_pattern … or not
Moving the image up and down makes it clearest for me even when close-up. I can also see colours. Are they there? Or are they a purely mental construct like orange of the grey oranges?
Do you mean subjective color?
Is this a highpass/lowpass effect like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hybrid_image … ?
The hybrid image shows a masking or extinction effect. So it is a close phenomenon.
