could you explain this a little bit more? so when i fuse them i can see the patterns clearly in front and back but my brain can't decide which color the fused squares are.

The phenomenon "my brain can't decide which color the fused squares are" should be binocular rivalry.

I can easily see the hidden images in the black and white patterns when fused, but my brain does not want to process the bottom images at all.

Mine does. Bit more effort, but I can see the depth image just as well as with the black/white example

Big nope from me. But most of my depth perception comes from other cues than stereopsis.
