    It doesn't sound weird to me. I'm a non-believer but I feel a deep sense of connection to a shared Jewish experience and history, I'm part of a community and I celebrate the festivals of the Jewish year despite an uncomfortable feeling of having been torn from the root of belief.

    I welcome and support reforms and reinterpretations within religions because the general progression helps people in real terms. But in the long term I agree with this.

    I could rant about this all day, but to cut to the chase: Real reform, real de-radicalisation, doesn't involve quibbling over the "true" interpretation of ancient texts. It means rejecting that such texts should *ever* take priority over women's rights (or LGBT rights etc.).

    I follow almost 8k people, but this would be true if I followed 6. A follow is not an endorsement. I am not morally responsible for tweets I often don’t even see. Also, I follow people I actively disagree with. It’s how I keep perspective and from falling into the echo chamber 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Brits are famous for not speaking other languages (62% speak only English, worst in Europe) and if it wasn't for the sinister undertone of racism I'd find it hilarious that so many still manage to look down on other people speaking different languages.

    Make your case without using the Holocaust as a *metaphor*.

    The was the industrialised genocide of millions. Learning lessons about what led to it is absolutely appropriate. Using it as a f***ing METAPHOR for family planning, the treatment of idiot anti-vaxxers, or how we talk about carbon dioxide, is stupid and disgraceful.
