    On this day in 2003 the bill to repeal Section 28 in England & Wales received royal assent. Scotland repealed in 2000. Introduced in 1988, S28 banned discussion of homosexuality in schools. 30yrs on Scotland is the 1st country to adopt LGBT-inclusive education in state schools.
