No replacements have arrived at Andersen yet. There is literally no bomber presence on Guam as of right now, rolling back all the bark AFGSC and PACAF made in terms of being able to launch bombers at a moments notice from the Island...

However it’s been said for a while that the Air Force wants to move towards shorter Bomber Task Force deployments rather than a 6 month long CBP deployment. The question is, why leave Guam with no bombers for an unsaid amount of time when it remains a target for adversaries?

It seems the US’s strategic presence in the Indo-Pacific region just got downgraded... For now.

If I were China I'd be a lot more worried about several B2's arriving. B52's are not first strike planes.

Depending on the operation if they need to use any type of bomber the B52 is most likely the choice to use first. They are the backbone of the USAF strategic bomber force. Been in service for 65 years and for another 30 more! The B1s and B2s planned to be out of service before it
