By the by, imagine that people are paying 89.99 a year to hear someone say "@iamjohnoliver sucks donkey balls" when, you could easily hear that for the very low price of a ticket to Danbury, Connecticut.
Of course, you're going to want to make sure that ticket is a return.

There are few things I find more insufferable than responding to a popular figure not lining up with your values with 'I never liked them let's make this moment about me' (ironically saw this in the wake of Rowling going mask off), the fact it's Glinner is just icing on the cake.

He says John Oliver is only successful because Americans have lower standards for comedy which is a bit rich coming from a comedy writer whose only source of income is Substack
-
Especially rich for a comedy writer who blatantly ripped off Seinfeld on more than one occasion.

You just have to look at U.S. Office versus U.K. Office. Far better writing (after the first season, when they found their own voice.) Saturday Night Live do have some good sketches, but there's a lot of dross to get through to find the gold.

Oliver's show is FAR superior to anything we have in comparison. -
Yep, like it was some great opinion that was weighing on him greatly.
