Especially transphobes who are followed by JK Rowling, as she unfollowed Stephen King for doing just that. (Albeit that she refollowed him the next day.) Shouldn't anyone who is truly supportive of the trans community be prepared to risk that follow to support trans people? 2/7

Ask them how many times they've used their platform to support fundraisers for trans surgery, or to tweet about the inhumane waiting lists and gatekeeping involved in getting even the most basic healthcare here, or if they've ever selflessly supported trans people in any way. 3/7

Ask them who are their favourite trans accounts they follow on Twitter who follow them back? For instance, do they follow some of the millions of trans women who say they are women, or do they follow one of the very few who are happy to be called "men" by other transphobes? 4/7

If they're famous, ask them to tag the trans charities/orgs who they follow, and who follow them back because of their support. I can tag
@Mermaids_Gender and@TENI_Tweets and@ThisIsMeIreland and@Genderintell and I'm not at all famous. (And don't want to be.) 5/7Show this thread -
I'm just supportive. For that, I've been called a misogynist, homophobe, even a child rapist, by large Twitter accounts. I could sue some people, but I'm not litigious, my resources are for my family, I don't want to crowdfund other people's cash to defend my reputation... 6/7

And I don't want the story to be about me. My response is simply this: Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Non-binary identities are valid. Trans rights are human rights. Any cis person who can't tweet that isn't a supporter of the trans community. Tweet that today. 7/7

P.S. It has been pointed out to me that some non-binary people don't like the word "valid." So, if you prefer: Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Non-binary identities are non-binary. Trans rights are human rights. All the best. Enjoy your Sunday.
