Hey @jordanbpeterson , would love to hear you expand on a statement you made once re: consciousness as arising from n. network feedback loops. Very similar to the computer engineering concept of the memory latch and explains why consciousness has temporal extension.
He’s probably referencing Douglas Hofstadter primarily his book “Godel, Escher, Bach”
Can either of you recommend books theorizing around the neurobiological basis for the subjective phenomenology of positive/negative emotion?
@jordanbpeterson did an interview with a Girardian but I thought it could have been done better. Rene Girard is an interesting dude who does a multidisciplinary (mostly anthropology) study of subjectivity based on mirror neurons etc. Not sure if it exactly applies but still good
