Jordan Peterson says the idea of white privilege is "morally reprehensible," adding that "there is absolutely nothing that's more racist" than making white people face up to past crimes. This is bad analysis and dangerous bc it provides intellectual cover for the alt-right.

quote: "... it's not because white people aren't privileged... the idea that you can target an ethnic group with a collective crime, regardless of the specific innocence or guilt of the constituent elements of that group, there is absolutely nothing that's more racist than that."

you paraphrased the quote slightly differently from me but his analysis is wrong either way you slice it.

I didn't paraphrase. That's copy-paste from his quote with a part of a sentence omitted to fit the character limit. I'm curious why you think his claim (that judging a person by skin color, not by his/her own merits, is racist) is "wrong".

Because this hasn't been the case throughout history, and we need to reckon with the inequity of a system that was set up to benefit some and exploit others. I'd love to get to that type of meritocracy but we need to fix imbalances that have been createdhttps://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/06/the-case-for-reparations/361631/ …

Sorry man your just confused. You’re being racist no matter how you spin it when you say ancestors of white Irish indentured servants who moved here because of the potato famine are responsible for the crimes of southern plantation owners and their goons. Fuck off ignorant punk
