If you want to be an Ayn Rand devotee, fine. But be as honest as Ayn Rand and say Jesus was a fool. What galls me is devotees to Ayn Rand who want to pretend they are Christians. No! It's Ayn Rand or Jesus. It can't be both.

I don’t think that’s true, maybe if you take what she says as a totalizing system...

Her core idea is that altruism is wrong, that we should look out for ourselves first. Which is the opposite of what Jesus preached.

What is the opposite of Altruist, is Rand that? Is Christianity altruist? Christianity could be argued to be egoist because it’s mostly about making ones own self right before God and not purely other focused.

Exactly, you are supposed to love yourself and the other as yourself. I’m not an objectivist or huge rand fan, Im a Jesus fan or a Christian, I’m also just saying there is some common ground there if anyone ever actually reads her books.

I get the feeling a lot of rand bashing is just virtue signaling that you’re not a greedy selfish asshole and I think that’s a pretty one dimensional view of her books
