As far as I know, no other financial asset in the history of the world has risen as fast as bitcoin. Is that a reason for skepticism?

I’ve done very well by BTC, but I regard it as a commodity which can be used to buy big ticket items (like gold) than a currency. It’s a poor store of long term value due to its volatility.

This volatility is due somewhat to two things. (1) adaption curve. (2) decentralized nature does not smooth out variability like Fed. Fed artificially smooths and creates larger discontinuities all at once whereas BTC has constant fluctuation w/in range theoretically once stable

Yeah-which really doesn’t in favor of it as a long term store of value.

More of a store of value on the upward trend of adaption curve, more of a medium of exchange at the top once stabilized. Still a store of value just not as much return.
