Christian baptism seems to be an inverse stoning. Your friends (enemies) gather around you and give praise (insults). You are submersed in water (killed) as a means of entrance (expulsion) from the community. There is of course deeper reasoning but it seems striking.

I agree with your disagreement. As a rule, we don't allow rebaptism unless the original baptism was basically in a cult because, as with circumcision, its not about your commitment to God. It's about your parents and community committing you to God.

I’m not sure about that, I don’t see how it is the parents or communities choice but if it is a child I could see how that might make sense... I see it as a sign of covenant not of the flesh. Circumcision was of the flesh, baptism is of the spirit...

And by this it would have similar to do with putting off the old man (flesh) and putting on the new (Jesus). A sort of Kenosis.

Kenosis and reverse kenosis. As Christ was emptied of himself so that he might intercede for us we are emptied of ourselves so that we can be filled. Beautiful symmetry.
