His edges seem to be marketing and speed. He pays attention to hype and promotions, adds to the noise, and hopes to be faster than anyone else. Probably nothing illegal but not the best if you’re trying to follow his picks because you can’t be as fast.

Yea, hard to know for sure; it’s not ethical...but probably not anymore illegal than some of the HFT manipulation that goes on

I think it’s effectively the same thing. He knows that even if information is produced live it isn’t consumed live, there is a lag, and in the small cap space that lag is significant and the response is significant if you have the clout that he has.
