This is the validity in the mission of the
#IDW: to make sure that people don't regress back to magical thinking/unperspectival consciousness/Kegan stage 3. However, we need to progress to aperspectival consciousness/Kegan stage 5.https://twitter.com/MimeticValue/status/1021972249379790849 …Mimetïc Value added,
Mimetïc Value @MimeticValueReplying to @HundredthIdiot @johndavidebert @martyrmadeThis ties back into Kegan's cognitive development stages as well. perspectival is systematic. You need that stage of development to go beyond to the aperspectival/meta-systematic. The achievement of the Enlightenment: rationality, math, science exorcised magical thinking.1 reply 0 retweets 8 likesShow this thread -
Communism isn't progressive, but conservative and reactionary. It reacts against the the Godless nihilism brought about by hyper-individualism. It is a desire to retreat back into the womb before birth, back to the safety of the collective unconscious.

This explains why people fetishize the "noble savage." Here, the colloquial definitions of the labels "liberal" and "conservative" aren't useful. Rather, there are people who wish to continue the Capital project vs people who wish to reset it.https://twitter.com/MimeticValue/status/1021975909451161600 …

Mimetïc Value @MimeticValueReplying to @dopaminendreams @johndavidebert @martyrmadeI think@ThaddeusRussell also recognized this. Capital tends to lead to social liberalism, and while communism tends to lead to social conservatism. Nobody can afford to be a liberal when they have nothing to eat. https://twitter.com/MimeticValue/status/1021975303118364672 …1 reply 0 retweets 9 likesShow this thread -
Currently, most capital-resetters identify socially liberal, but I don't believe that's the actual result. They think that undoing the Capitalist project will allow us to live in bonobo paradise in Eden. However, that's magical thinking. We'd actually return to human sacrifice.

@martyrmade might not even be aware of it himself, but he's made a stronger case for capitalism than anyone else I've encountered. http://www.martyrmade.com/8-how-to-serve-man-sacrifice-cannibalism-pt-1/ … As Freud says, culture is the sublimation of impulses. We've sublimated human sacrifice into sacrificing money.1 reply 1 retweet 10 likesShow this thread -
Sacrificing money requires skin in the game or it's not a real sacrifice. Which means that you need hard money, not worthless hyperinflationary money. When you sacrifice hard money, you put the potentiality of the future on the line.

Communists correctly sense the social problems with modern society, but they fail to provide good solutions, because they don't understand the connections among ergodicity, risk, and sacrifice. Their cure is worse than the disease.https://twitter.com/MimeticValue/status/1021975303118364672 …

In the aperspectival world, in contrast with the perspectival world, the focus shifts from space to time. This is why understanding of non-ergodicity is so important. Time average is not the same as average across space.https://twitter.com/MimeticValue/status/1021980780732530688 …

It seems like communists fear the negative effects of having high centrality mimetic models in private individuals, so they crafted a myth to make the bourgeois taboo. But they don't consider that wealth isn't permanent and not all rich people are evil.https://twitter.com/BrianTHeligman/status/1028372638446444544?s=19 …

Brian Heligman @BrianTHeligmanIt’s said ‘Shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in three generations.’ In Japan, it goes ‘Rice paddies to rice paddies in three generations.’ The Scottish say ‘The father buys, the son builds, the grandchild sells, and his son begs.’ In China, ‘Wealth never survives three generations.’Show this thread0 replies 1 retweet 5 likesThanks.
