I do not know the answer of religion. I’m not a Christian because I’m CERTAIN that it is correct, it just is how I was raised and so I’ve gone the deepest into it’s metaphysics and have found it useful and to contain strange truths at the limits of human consciousness.

I don’t doubt some truths of other philosophies or religions, I just usually come away finding something lacking, but that is most likely due to the depth I’ve dove into Christianity. Perhaps that depth is not lacking in the philosophy, rather it is in my attention to it.

One of the things I wish to avoid is group-think, because I’ve seen first hand how small differences can tear down once great communities because of fear and closed-mindedness.

I encourage non Christians to read “the cloud of unknowing” or the sermon on the mount and Christians to read Carl Sagan or Zen Buddhism. I encourage both to read Nietzsche and Rene Girard.
