I didn't compare. In France it's common knowledge so I didn't thought a lot about this.
Then that is not the paper I’m asking for because it doesn’t answer the question at all, it just tells us the average and that there is a difference, no multivariate factor analysis whatsoever. Not questioning he integrity of the data gathering.

On wages, nothing is obvious to me : I (try to) live with 2/3 of the minimal wage and women are equally payed at my level. "Glass ceiling" far away. But what is obvious is that women are under-represented in decision-making bodies. So I tend to believe in wages differences.
-
Setting aside average wage differences, I agree that women are not being represented in many senses amongst the decision makers of society as it concerns politics and the upper levels of business. But I would add that they are the primary decision makers wrt consumption.
-
As the US and most of the West are primarily consumption driven economies, who makes household purchasing decisions as it concerns food, clothing, and entertainment is actually the key economic decision makers for the country as a whole.
-
Leaders of business should be serving those consumption decision makers. Of course they also try to manipulate those people into thinking they need them and they also often try to ensure that they are making money at the expense of others.

I do not believe in the virtues of perfect equality but I hope that more women in power would have a positive effect on our societies. Bonobo societies are matriarchal and bonobos are less violent than chimpanzees. The two probably (not completely sure e.g. Thatcher) go together.
-
Women having interests that tend towards the social seems to me good reason for getting them more involved in politics and business, absolutely, but I agree. Women are still people and we should always expect conflict when it comes to people haha
-
I didn't know all this would be that controversial. I agree too, now, and I don't completely take great apes as models, it was also a kind of discreet joke

-
Hahaha yes I think that would be unwise
well it’s fairly controversial in America right now, just like apparently everything else.
