Had a long discussion about fitness today. We agreed “fitness” should be optimized for broad based health (balance/variablility) and longevity with an efficient diet towards those ends. We also agreed that optimization toward “strength” or “aesthetics” can easily derail.
There is an enormous amount of Noise in the fitness industry. One can find two different guru’s recommending two entirely separate actions with equal passion. They are most likely optimizing toward different values. Look for that optimization and work backwards.
