For the second time witnessing a Taliban takeover of my country. In 96 I was in 3rd grade when they come to Kabul and now 25 years later I'm reporting their historic, tragic, rapid, and unpredictable advance. Nothing has changed & all lives were lost in 2 decades for noting.

Inside the C17 U.S military cargo plane. Majority of these lucky people have no visa & passport. This is the same aircraft in which 4 people fell to their deaths. The person who shared this video with me said “we had no water for hours” & it looked like a “doomsday”

Recently told us that after US withdrawal if the Taliban get close to Kabul city will escape & leave people behind. Today, the US military & US ambassador are still in Kabul but Ghani & his core team already escaped the country.

NEW: Situation at the airport is “tenuous” and consideration is being given to pulling all Americans out and leaving the Afghans behind.  That decision has not been made but it is on the table and will need to be addressed if Us can’t get control of the airport. (Martin/Ruffini)
