When a person hits that subscribe button they are saying, I want this person's content... not I want you @Youtube to decide what portion of content I get.... C'mon guys, to subscribe is an action, which means that sub is saying, give me this content

In the past, some viewers were frustrated with how many notifications they received. Not everyone felt that way, so we added the bell. For any subs who are worried they're missing content, they can get all notifications by changing their settings here: http://goo.gl/XLDtz4

Here's a viable solution: let's flip it. Make the bell/notifications ON by DEFAULT when they subscribe. Users who don't want notifications can then OPT-OUT on a channel by channel basis. Make the onus on the user to opt-out, instead of jumping through hoops to opt-in.

I have suggested that many times to YT! They need to stop manipulating with their algorithm so much, picking winners and losers. They need to let viewers who subscribed OPT OUT. But YT needs those subs as an excuse to contact them for promoting their guys and girls they prefer.
