I used to view this as blue and black.......!?!?!?
where is both?
I can hear both...
Both
the thing is: knowing both "words" and timing I can choose what to listen. paying little to normal attention I easily hear "yanny", if I focus on laurel i can hear it. sometimes even a mix of both like "yan'rel". btw eng is not my 1st lang, dunno if it could influence me.
Laurel; "yanny" is just an artifact of bad second-hand recording. The original sound was a guy intending to say laurel for a dictionary entry for the word laurel. It's laurel.
Both depending on the tone you listen to
Was hearing yanny, not understanding why people would even hear laurel, then I focused on the lower frequencies and freaked the fuck out when hearing laurel
An experiment: I listened on phone then laptop. Phone yanny laptop laurel. Then phone in one laptop in other. Phone said yanny laptop laurel. As I took the laptop earbud out it changed from L to Y, stayed yanny when I put it back. Tried the same with phone no diff but
as I put the earbud in and out I could hear both. This is a really cool effect!
