FWIW, the buddhist version of jhanas tend to refer to temporary states of concentrative absorption. You might have luck looking at some of the ‘wisdom’ maps, which tend to be a more long term frame.

Thanks! I didn't know this, I'll go check them out. Do you have any resources for wisdom maps that you'd recommend?

I personally don’t use a lot of maps in my practice, but some come to mind:
- oxherding pictures (from zen)
- four yogas (mahamudra)
- the four path model (Therevada)
- progress of insight (Burmese)
Shinzen weighing up +/- of maps, is helpful IMO:
