I don’t take the conclusion. But specifically to this, humanity has already skewed the sex ratio toward more males. Would it be bad to balance the existent effect of our choices?

Seems like women are more in favour of this, why?

If Wikipedia is correct the 2% raise still wouldn’t balance the sex ratio. I would raise the percentage of females to males. If I could, I’d prefer to do it in regions where the sex ratio is skewed with more males.

Don’t most countries have more females than males? I was under the assumption that Outliers like China and India were the reason for the worldwide gender disparity.

That can't be right. Men don't want to have sex with women born in the future. Unless they are pedophiles, and there aren't that many of those.

I don't get it. Presumably some males voted yes because it reduces competition for mates and they are selfish. But if the gender ratio shifts for future generations then only men in the future will benefit, so there would be no selfish benefit.
