Men seem to recall rape over the short term more often than the long term. I don't think we know why definitively, but there are social pressures for men to downplay being assault victims, and many people regard men as "unrapeable". As a result, that may create lower recollection

“Made to penetrate” has been removed from the legal definition of rape in quite a few places. Effectively making it impossible for a woman to rape a man unless she uses some instrument to penetrate him.

Doesn't the top right field still show women at roughly ~600,000 more than men?

Women are a slightly larger share of the population than men.

1) Male on male rape is much more common (even outside prison) than can be expected. 2) Men feel more able to report it now. 3) The definition of rape is broader than it was. 4) Male kids maybe more likely to be raped than female kids.
