A lot of the comments here are mocking the girl, and I really dislike this. Much like drug problems, it seems like a mind virus that preys on the vulnerable, and the response to this should be rehabilitation, not punishment. You can't help someone you view as an enemy.

One thing I came to find over time is that some people don't WANT common ground. They ARE our enemies, by their own choice - not ours.

They are our enemies in their mind, but we don't have to become like them and view them as enemies in our mind.

So what do you suggest doing. I've seriously tried finding common ground with them. I've sympathized with some positions and I really extended an olive branch multiple times. It was always met by smug and hateful behavior. What are we supposed to do?
