A lot of the comments here are mocking the girl, and I really dislike this. Much like drug problems, it seems like a mind virus that preys on the vulnerable, and the response to this should be rehabilitation, not punishment. You can't help someone you view as an enemy.

My problem is with rich people who'd rather donate to charities than pay higher taxes for better social services because it allows them to feel good about helping the "less fortunate." Fuck that shit.

A good chunk of taxes go to our bloated military. Some charities do far more good than social services.

Work that could probably be done better if public resources were redistributed. Charities do good work but their resources are limited and reliant on people's generosity. Plus I'm not an American & not just thinking about how these issues apply to the USA.
