I have super judgmental feelings around people who believe in astrology, but less so when I'm around people who believe things like religion, despite the two being roughly similar in 'level of critical thought.' Do you feel similarly? If so, why the inconsistency?

I agree! Religion is definitely worse. That just makes it more interesting, to me, that I have stronger judgmental feelings towards astrology. I don't feel like I'm 'choosing' to be judgmental, it feels like I'm having a sensation and being surprised at where it's targeted.

There’s a stronger social framework & tradition in support of established religions… there is less tribal organization around astrology. re: badness Tribes justify behavior with totems they have at hand… Humans are rationalizing not rational
