I have super judgmental feelings around people who believe in astrology, but less so when I'm around people who believe things like religion, despite the two being roughly similar in 'level of critical thought.' Do you feel similarly? If so, why the inconsistency?

Is it possible that you’re more comfortable or less judgmental about people of religion because you spent many years immersed in that world?

There’s a stronger social framework & tradition in support of established religions… there is less tribal organization around astrology. re: badness Tribes justify behavior with totems they have at hand… Humans are rationalizing not rational

The way I see it:religious ppl=brainwashed members of a gang; astrology= entertainment;or placebo to making a goal happen. Let's say some horoscope told me I was going to be successful. My mind starts to think about success more and I may start making choices to make it happen.

Astrology is woven into traditional Islamic belief. And it's big with hippies. Two groups we've been encouraged to despise
