It's an immediate disqualifier, which is ethically questionable, where ethics in non-monogamy are an attempt at being considerate of your partner.

It seems like it's saying that being interested in monogamy is as ethical a choice as non-monogamy, which sounds like a given, except that some non-monog proponents are...preachy. That's how I took it, anyways.

And non-monog proponents are overrepresented on online dating platforms, so monogamists encounter them frequently enough for it be a bit of a Thing.
