note that stuff like 'gun suicides' or 'gun accidents,' on the other hand, *does* seem to be pretty correlated with the amount of guns.

Also a higher gun suicide rate. Gun suicides are roughly 2x the homicides. Also, there is a big rural/urban difference, with more homicides in cities and more suicides outside cities

I would say the same amount, if you can easily buy a gun, those who would kill someone would have one I guess. But there is accidents... I think the main issue is the culture and the fact you can have one if you want.

Higher gun ownership correlates with higher gun violence rate, though population concentration creates violence as well, which makes the "Chicago" argument muddy and perhaps entirely nullified.

Without looking it up, fewer, because they're mostly sparsely populated Western states with rural, guns-as-tools sorts of cultures. Bet the gun suicide rates are higher in those states tho.

Important to more clearly define 'gun ownership'. On a per capita basis, I would think more rural states would rank higher, meaning fewer homicides, but on a total number of guns basis, larger population states might lead in both guns and homicides. Accurate statistics are tricky
