This is the point of a lot of my polls - to try to demonstrate that very often we don't think deeply about the answers we give. I would like to foster a culture where we put more careful evaluation into the things we think and the hidden implications of questions asked.

Yea that was clear when you revealed the $32k number. The thing is nobody thinks of that number when we say the 1%. Sure $32k is a lot amount of money in most places of the world, but in most highly developed countries it's just average and can only get you an average life.

It's all localized, even within the US. 30k/year gets you basically the same living standard in some spots of the USA as 100k does in others.
