I don't think tradition makes circumcision okay, but I also don't like restricting religious freedom. I also think that, like abortion, it'll still be performed—but less safely. (I already consider it unsafe.)
Since male circumcision is already an established procedure in our country/culture, I don't think it should be illegal; I think people should be educated about the risks, and de-misinformed about the "benefits."
Do you feel similarly about female circumcision, which is also performed for religious reasons and an established procedure in many parts of the world?
