The avoided paying tax on an estimated 3.5 billion dollars a year by shifting profits to a number of Luxembourg subsidiaries. There were 22 in 2015 ... it's hard to know how many there are now.
The Walton's aren't nice people. They're thieves.
I generally feel very distrustful of the government. A lot of the 'tax money' disappears, and a huge chunk of it goes to the war machine. A lot of it also goes to helping big corporations.
I don't feel very upset at people who avoid taxes tbh.
You certainly have a government that's worthy of your distrust. There is a reason why corporations make donations to both political parties and it isn't about generosity.
Re: the Waltons...
They use the roads to receive and deliver goods.
They take subsidies and tax breaks from the government.
Hell, their employees are often paid so poorly they are entitled to SNAP.
What the Waltons do isn't innocent. They are what's wrong with the US.
What do you mean when you say a lot of tax money 'disappears'?
Do you mean that it's lost to paying off our debt, or to government inefficiency? Or something else?
