If you press the button before you, the top 1% earners in the world will be forced to forfeit all their earnings and be given a fixed allowance equal to 5% their previous income. Their money will be distributed equally to everyone else, proportionally according to need. You:

I would be inclined to say that the top 1% didn't "earn" it. Nobody can work that hard. They have benefitted from other people's hard work. I'd push the button. It wouldn't make much difference. I mean it's a lot of money but there are 6 billion people getting a share.

She said "in the world". People living on 34K / year would get hit by the button. :-)

inequality is reinforced in our DNA. People aren’t equal & to expect equal outcome is unnatural.

If you put absolute numbers on it, it would help ;) To be in the top 1% you need an income of US$32k a year. So, someone just making the cut would then be on $1600/y. Could you live on $125/month? No, I wouldn't press the button.
