I feel most defensive against the types of beliefs that people might mistake me for having. The ways in which I'm different from my demographic feels super important to signal.
Like, nobody in my demographic are trump supporters, so I feel no need to say 'fuck Trump' a lot.

It’s not that I need to say it to ‘fuck Trump’ for me it’s more like ‘are you seeing this shit?!’ to reassure myself that i’m not going crazy and this is all actually happening
