so statistically, transgender people score pretty differently on my surveys. I typically test them as a separate category. Nuance isn't something that works in twitter polls, though, so I just said the word gender and let people interpret as they will.

It's really difficult to determine who the smartest person you know is, assuming you're fortunate enough to know a few who are quite a bit smarter than you are! I selected "female | male" because that uppermost handful skews male.

Oh, no. I somehow missed the "personally know" part. In that case, the smartest person I know would be a female.
But, it really depends on "Smart in terms of what?"
