Sometimes people hold beliefs that I think are problematic. I will talk to these people no matter how much I disagree.
Sometimes people have no epistemic humility. I hate talking to them, even if I agree with their beliefs.

THAT BEING SAID it is important to clarify that having a horrifically 'wrong' belief does not make you a dick.
e.g. "we should euthanize all sick people" doesn't make you a dick.
"we should murder all weak pussies, obviously" does make you a dick

I am not attached to the term and happy to use other ones if that has connotations I don't intend. I just meant beliefs I disagree with super strongly because I think they would lead to harmful outcomes.

This is a very difficult approach but completely correct. There are many people whose statements or beliefs I disagree with but engaging with them as long as the conversation is civil.
