ok why do i have a 13 word mnemonic device but restoring a monero wallet takes 27 or something? I'm afraid to ask this question because I feel like the answer will be insanely simple

I have never used these but from what I found the MyMonero web wallet uses 13 words, and the GUI/CLI version uses 25. Does that help/make sense?

It’s mymonero wallet (13 words) vs the default (25) . Might be just easier to create a new wallet and transfer between the two.
