I didn't go to school. It's surreal to me to see everyone walking around and acting like the trauma of public school that's basically subjected huge swathes of children to abuse and left permanent anxiety and depression later on in life is "something that happens I guess"

Super interested to know the major differences you’ve noticed. What anxieties in particular have you been spared?

public schoolers seem
1. less likely to dissent
2. more concerned about appearances
3. lower sense of self worth
of course my upbringing also had those things but was relegated to morality - less likely to 'morally dissent,' more concerned with 'moral appearances,' etc.

dealing with assholes in public school prepares you to deal with assholes in life.

i didn't deal with any assholes growing up as a homeschooler, and i definitely don't feel like i'm missing out. If anything I feel like I'm better at dealing with assholes now than some of my public-schooled friends

As I’ve spent more and more time with home schoolers, this has become more apparent. Do you have an aggregation of stats about public schoolers that you’ve collected?

Not in comparison to homeschoolers no
Also I think homeschoolers have a whole heap of their own problems that public schoolers don't have, but I think that's mainly cause most of the ppl who choose to homeschool are like crazy religious
