If a guy im potentially interested in sends a poor okc message and ruins it, i often wanna critique, like I wanna be helpful and let them know why they turned me off. This is not great in practice tho. They always try to fix it like 'are you into me now?'

If only women had been so kind to me when they were turning me down years ago when I was in my 20s and 30s

Then they probably get upset and belligerent. People don't seem to take criticism well, constructive or otherwise. I wish you much luck finding someone is compatible with you and your amazing mind.

I either hedge a lot (Hey your message was super great, but there was one thing that made me say no) or ask permission to give them feedback

Have you ever reformed someone into becoming attractive to you, or is that something not even you can do?

So, what did the guy say that was wrong?

When I ask why a girl rejected me it's so I can refute the misconception about me or life that they have, but I prepare to be wrong bc that's polite Those okc guys might want you to look past pickup lines and judge them as people (unless you can critique their character)
-
It's a more complicated than that. For example, I had an okc convo with one guy where I was being obvs playful and not serious bout something, but he didn't pick up on the playfulness and responded seriously, which turned me off. How should I have responded?
