this is so weird, whenever i've gone to get tested the doctors have said 'we dont recommend testing unless you have symptoms'

I say yes, because why not get the full test for std's if you are sexually active instead of a partial test

I have never been able to find a doctor who would agree to test for asymptomatic herpes, even the free clinic attached to a major hospital.

A few have said herpes isn't a big deal. Maybe not to the medical community, but the wider community thinks it's a big fucking deal.

Well, as my doctor said, you can't test it if there are no symptoms. And if you never had those symptoms, then you don't have it.
