Why did 'patriarchy' arise with agriculture but presumably not in hunter-gatherer societies?

i remember hearing that hunter gatherers had a ton of free time tho, but i know nothing

If your serious, the reliance on strength to farm in early times (plow, sew, harvest) made men more valuable for that work. (1/2)

Guess: agriculture => property (land) ownership => need for inheritance structure. Less real property ownership among hunter-gatherers.

Agriculture created excess, and ease; at least more so than being nomadic when everyone struggled to just survive the seasons.

I'd guess it was just a smaller society. In smaller societies everyone plays role and relies on each other

Hunters are able to fail easily which made them equally dependent on gathering and crafting which creates equal value of all work.
