That's been my question to everyone supporting harsher prison sentences or easier prosecution criteria for basically any crime for ages.

Though I think false rape claims in court are about 10% of cases, so perhaps 1 innocent/9 guilty is a better question? Not sure.

If you support human rights you will always prefer 1000 criminals free than an innocent in jail.

An innocent man can be proven innocent and freed. A dangerous rapist going free will be undoubtedly bad.

Innocent until proven guilty; better the criminal go free than an innocent be punished. Dangerous commits other crimes to be imprisoned for.
