There are differing accounts -- one having Horus begat by a gold penis affixed by Isis to the reconstructed dead body of Osiris....

imo common things feel 'sacred' and thus tend to get incorporated into religions more often. Only some is due to direct copying.
As Joseph Campbell's archetypes exist not because somebody came up with an original archetype and other copied, but because they feel right.
