technically it doesn't...but don't tell that to certain people, because they're morons, and they can't realize when it doesn't.

unless 2 or more people have communicated some other (safe)word(s) mean slowdown, stop, etc. then pragmatically no means no.

Would prefer the clarity if it did, but most people - and dialects - don't work that way.

I know too many lawyers. Legally, no means no-no exceptions. So say what you mean and mean what you say (or tell it to a judge)
