How do I film myself reading an essay without making it look like I'm reading?

Read it beforehand, memorize it, place the camera just in front of the essay, reference it while still looking at the camera?

same way they do on tv. make your own teleprompter basically. stand out of cam view w/ text.

if it's multiple pages, maybe could use a remote or mouse scroll wheel. many tablets support a mouse.

have the book propped up behind an ipad with the camera mounted to the ipad. it will look like you're watching the screen.
