On r/raisedbynarcissists, most posts are about mothers. I've also found mother-specific abuse subs but no fathers. Why the gender imbalance?

I haven't had that experience personally. I suspect narcs. men tend to just leave their families, while narcs. women stay.

shot in the dark but many potentially abusive narcissistic fathers might be out of the picture due to (post divorce) non-custody

mommy issues = gotta whine about it; daddy issues = can't cry about it. at least for men

The instance of abuse I know of was the father's doing, but the victim seems most anguished by the mother's part in it. IDK why.
