Should we allow people who're bad workers and hard to hire (mental illness, severe disability, carelessness) to be employed at a lower wage?

I think anyone should be allowed to be or given the option to work at a lower wage if they so choose actually. no more limits.

to do so would set a terrible precedent for institutional meritocracy. Employers would use this as an excuse to pay less 4 labor

Like my cousin who is Mentally Handicapped with a mental age of 7 who puts boxes together at the Opportunities Center for $3/hr?

We already do. People with disabilities are often suported by Govt and Private Subsidies.

If you are asking if we should wave Min wage for "bad workers". Answer is no. Undercuts "good" workers and invites abuse.
