We have home insurance for only big crazybad events that happen to our homes, not regular maintenance. Why not same with healthcare?

I believe it's the history of insurance as a replacement for heavily taxed salary in benefits packages in the 40s through 80s

there are insurance schemes for appliances. also there's not a system in place that charges you $50 for a house band aid.
